【摘要】:Thistestprocedureisusedtodeterminethesteady-statedirectionalcontrolresponseofvehiclesbymeasuringsteady-statecorneringbehavior.Duetothewiderangeofoperationalconditionstowhichavehiclecanbesubjected,theresultsofthistestingdonotprovideacompletedescriptionofavehicle'stotaldynamicbehavior;inparticular,theproceduredoesnottestthevehicle'sresponseduringtransientmaneuvers.Tofullyassessavehicle'stotaldynamicbehavior,itwouldbenecessarytoconductothertestproceduresinordertoevaluatethevehicle'sperformanceasawhole.Theextentofinstrumentationandtherequiredaccuracyofthemeasurementwillbedependentonthegoalsofthepersonnelconductingthetest.Ifitisdesiredsimplytodeterminethegeneralperformancecharacteristicsofavehicle,thenthistestcanbeconductedwithminimalinstrumentationandtestitempreparation.
