【摘要】:ThisBritishStandardgivesrecommendationsandguidanceontheinstallation,maintenance,examinationandoperationofconstructionhoists,includinghoistwayprotection,andonthemanagementoftheseactivities.Itincludesrecommendationsandguidanceonerection,alterationanddismantlingofhoists.Italsosetsouttheresponsibilitiesofthevariouspartiesinvolvedinalltheseactivities.Thestandardisapplicabletotemporarilyinstalled,poweredconstructionhoists,havingacarrier,themovementofwhichisrestrictedorguidedbyoneormoremasts.Suchhoistsareusedtotransferpersonsand/orgoodsbetweendefinedlandinglevelsonsitesofengineeringandconstruction.Theyarenotintendedforuseastemporaryworkingplacesgivingvariableheightaccesstospecificareas.ThisBritishStandardisnotapplicabletopermanentlyinstalledliftsortomastclimbingworkplatforms.ThisBritishStandarddoesnotgiverecommendationsfortheuseofinternalcombustionenginesforpoweringhoists.NOTEExamplesofchecklistsforpre-usecheckingandweeklyinspectionsofrackandpiniontypeandropedrivenhoistsaregiveninAnnexAandAnnexBandexamplesofchecklistandreportformsaregiveninAnnexC.
