【摘要】:Theamountofcobaltdrierusedinoxidizing-typecoatingssignificantlyaffectstheirdryingproperties.Thistestmethodmaybeusedtoconfirmthestatedcobaltcontentofapureliquidcobaltdriersolubleinglacialaceticacidandmanufacturedforusebythecoatingsindustry.1.1Thistestmethodcoversatitrimetricdeterminationofcobaltinliquidpaintdriersthatcanbedissolvedinglacialaceticacidandutilizesthedisodiumsaltofethylenediaminetetraaceticaciddihydrate(EDTA).1.2Thistestmethodisnotapplicabletodrierblends.Ifdriersotherthancobaltarepresent,theymayinterferebyreactingwithEDTAundertheconditionsusedforanalysis.1.3AllcationsthatcanbetitratedwithEDTAinalkalinemediainterfereandmustnotbepresentinthesample.1.4ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
